A little about us – Sanity Marketing was started by journalist Jordan Baker as ‘Joshua Walker PR’ in August 2015 in an Islington kitchen. Why Joshua Walker PR you ask? That was Jordan’s nom de plume when writing for the likes of the MailOnline, The Gay Times and other publications, and it was a name that stuck.
PR was easy to deliver – PR tends to be expensive and sloppily done – so with a 30-day rolling contract and some PR nouse, we quickly racked up column inches and clients. But clients didn’t stay long – PR was increasingly losing it’s ability to make clients money and even at JWPR prices, it was a pricey luxury few could afford.
In February 2017 we also established a presence in NYC.
In June 2018, Jordan and his partner Riley learned the art of traffic and remarketing ads – spending several thousand pounds of the agency’s cash to perfect the practice before offering it to clients.
Over the next twelve months, the Sanity Method was born – and to reflect the new focus on generating sales – we rebranded to Sanity Marketing. In July 2019 we launched our new website and we divided our package services into tens of smaller services – meaning clients get a bespoke package, and they only pay for what they actually need.
We also introduce fixed term contracts so clients can earn from their loyalty.
Today (September 2019) we have 40 clients, 13 employees, 10 contractors and 2 consultants. We’ve worked with The House of Commons, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Kourtney Kardashian, Joan Collins, Anytime Fitness and The Crown Plaza Hotels (to name but a few).
As we end Year 4 (where we did 5.5 times more sales than we did in Year 1) we are ready to take our client numbers into the hundreds, our sales into 6 figures and ramp up our expansion plans across the US – all built one simple mantra – putting the Sanity into your marketing – sales.
