Great job! You were an early adaptor of the handy Facebook pixel tool.
Whether you’ve just started with a new digital marketing agency or are wanting to give access to a business partner, there’s a couple of simple steps required to transfer the code over.
Unfortunately, you can’t just copy and paste the code somewhere else, but this guide will walk you through all the steps necessary for reassigning your Facebook Pixel.
1) Facebook business page – the first step in reassigning your Facebook pixel is to go to your Facebook Business Settings page. From there, go to the left side of the browser and click the Data Sources tab, and from underneath that select the Pixels tab – second down on the list.
2) Selecting – once you’ve clicked the tab, select the pixel you want to assign accounts to. Make sure your personal Facebook account has been added as a Pixel Editor. If it hasn’t, you should click the ‘add people’ button (located on the white toolbar under the view analytics button) to make other accounts Pixel Editors.
3) Reassigning – next, you’ll want to click the ‘Assign Partners’ option, choose the level of permissions you’d like to provide (Standard or Admin), then enter the Business Account ID of the person you want to share the pixel with.
The recipient should now see the pixel in their business manager account under ‘Partners’. They can then select ‘Add assets’ from the pixel’s sub menu, and then ‘Assign ad accounts’ in order to start using the pixel for custom audiences and remarketing ads.
